    Really easy to use

I used this for the first time yesterday & it really is easy. It has instructions in the little booklet of how much water depending on how you want the eggs cooked (and you might need a bit more for Large/Jumbo eggs). I made 6 jumbo eggs with it yesterday & it cooked perfectly first try. Going to make the eggs & keep them in the fridge so it will make breakfast easy when I need something fast.

    Make eggs everyday

I’ve only made boiled eggs so far because I don’t want to use the plastic tray to make omelets and poached eggs. I don’t feel comfortable with making food with plastic. The gadget is great but make sure to clean it very well after use because the plate will start rusting.

    Simple and produces great results

Very simple design. Easy to use. Produces exceptionally easy-to-peel hard boiled eggs 6 at a time.Received my first cooker as a gift and was so impressed bought a second one for my daughter. This is a phenomenal product! No more messy hard-boiled eggs.

    Works OK so far.

Although it cooks well it’s the amount of cooking that’s difficult. Since it measures the time of cooking by the amount of water measured out in the measuring cup that it comes with, it’s difficult to get a soft boiled egg to turn out correctly because the size of eggs and that minute difference in amount of water changes the amount of cooking. I’ve gotten some eggs that are not cooked enough and some that are close to hard boiled. I’ve used it 10-15 times since receiving it and overall I’m getting better at judging the amount of water for a certain sized egg. Back in the 50’s my mother had bought an American made one of these egg cookers with same cooking concept. It was all aluminum. I think it was better at cooking the eggs the way I wanted them.

    Love This!

This has been by far one of my best kitchen Amazon purchases! I use it nearly every morning and love how easy it makes my egg routine. I don’t have to watch the eggs, I don’t have to use my stove, pots or pans, and the eggs come out perfectly every time with minimal effort. This has been a huge time saver for me and I love it!

    Wow. Works great!!

I am not a big reviewer or a person who buys “gadgets” but I have to tell everyone I meet about this small inexpensive device. It’s amazing. Easy. Quick. Never fails. Has a built in timer for every kind of egg.I LOVE Boiled and soft boiled eggs but they are a pain in the ass to make. Not now. Within minutes you have eggs exactly like you like them. Treat yourself. Buy this.

This egg cooker is great! It’s very convenient. Just make sure for boiled eggs you put a hole on the correct end. I have also made the omelettes, which i add some shredded cheese to. I would buy this egg cooker again and again!

    Best THING ever!

Boiling eggs in the morning is bound for something to happen (or maybe it’s just me). Either way, this little machine belonged in my life years ago! I turn it on once I wake up and let it do its thing while I get ready for work. By the time I am dressed and dolled up part of my breakfast is done leaving the feeling of a chore and stress minimized.

    Great product

I wish that this was around when my mom made soft boiled eggs. She would always struggle to get them just right. I decided to try to make soft boiled eggs as the first thing I made. The eggs were perfectly cooked soft. The next day I made an omelette, that came out perfectly too. Today I made pouched eggs, they were a little runny but we’re good too. I would just cook a little bit longer. I haven’t tried to make hard boiled yet, but my friend has the same one and raved about the hard boiled eggs. 💞

The most perfect hardboiled eggs I’ve ever made

I saw this on a video from America’s Test Kitchen, and they recommended it. They’re absolutely right. I loaded the eggs in according to the instructions, turned it on, and was able to forget about it until the buzzer rang. Several minutes in a bowl of ice water and I had perfectly cooked eggs that the shells slipped right off.

    LOVE IT!!!!

This egg cooker is so easy to use; and, clean up is effortless. Perfect hard-boiled eggs! Omelets come out great. I measure the water cup to MED for cooking for omelets. This morning I made a two-egg omelet with thinly sliced onion and vegan smoked gouda cheese. Delicious!!! Cooks evenly every time. The omelet is always fluffy. I would highly recommend this product.

    AMAZING!

I thought for sure this was not going to help me in my years of trying to cook the PERFECT boiled egg. Another gadget my husband said. We were shocked! It works! I cannot believe I have cooked hardboiled eggs to perfection. Now I am sorry I did not get the larger one. I want to tell you, this is NOT just another gadget. I have ruined so many eggs over the years either over cooking or peeling them. Not with this. The only thing that concerns me I cannot get the bottom part totally clean, it looks like may be water spots or deposits but it says it won’t rust.

    LOVE IT!

I love it! Not only is it cute but also very practical. Every time I feel like I’m running out of time for breakfast, I just put eggs in it and do other things while it cooks and when it is ready the music starts and I know. No more burnt-boiled eggs. Amazing for distracted folks like me

    Great value.

Considering the price, an accurate appliance. Tone to alert you that the eggs are done is loud enough to easily hear in another room. Good versatility, considering it makes a number of different types of eggs, is great.

    Poaching

Love the poached eggs this handy unit produces. Foolproof. I haven’t had a poached egg in years. Crack your eggs into the handy tray, add premeasured water to the unit then turn the unit on. Handy alarm alerts you that the eggs are PERFECTLY cooked. If my wife thinks it’s easy, it’s easy. Cleaning is easy also. I’ll never understand why I waited to buy this. We love it. Boiling eggs are super simple also.

    So easy to use!

My roommate was gifted this item by a family member several years ago. I used it so much, that I purchased a replacement when I accidentally cracked the top. This is fantastic for hard/soft boiled eggs. I use the omelet “pan” feature and put in two eggs. I add the water, and go get ready for work.. It also works great for a scramble…add cheese, etc. The steam fluffs the eggs. So fab!

    Easy and Small

I held off on buying this because I hate single purpose kitchen appliances that take up room. I caved on this product because I really like boiled eggs but struggeled with getting my finicky electric stove to get the right temperature for the right period when I was scrambling to get ready in the morning. This has taken all the guess work out of perfectly boiled eggs of my choosing. The device has one button and a timer, and a measuring cup with lines for water levels that reflect the cooking level. It takes about a minute to get it staged with eggs and water and then I have time to do my morning routine. The loud timer is annoying, but also welcome because I can hear it in most of my home, so if I get too consumed with what I’m doing it is audible and brings me back to the eggs. Very happy with this product so far. Easy to clean the hot plate with a bit of vinegar, no scrubbing needed.

Best for cooking hard boiled eggs.

The only way I make hard boiled eggs now. Make sure you carefully (with tongs) place eggs when they are cooked, in an ice bath. Leave them in for 5-7 and hit them on a hard surface. The shells come off very easily. Then place shelled eggs in a ziplock, ready for you when you want one. Highly recommend this.

I love hard boiled eggs! This little machine is terrific! I can’t usually eat breakfast when I first get up, so a hard boiled egg does the trick! The machine is simple to use and eggs are cooked perfectly. Compact and easy to store. I plan to try out the omelet accessory to make “Egg Mc Muffins!” 5 Thumbs Up👍👍👍👍👍!

    Works every time

I love this little egg cooker. I used to hate to make hard boiled eggs. Now I don’t give it a thought. They are done perfectly and peel so nicely. I know that there are bigger ones available but on a day to day basis this works for me and my husband. I recommend 100%

    Life changing!

Absolutely life-changing. That is if having dippy eggs has been the bane of your cooking experience for most of your life. I’ve never been able to get eggs done just right and often end up over frying them or under frying them. I use this to poach my eggs to a medium hardness and they come out perfect. As a bonus they are also so much healthier! If you rub a little oil in the tray, they will literally fall right out.One thing to be aware of, is this cooks with steam so there will be a little bit of water on the top of your eggs when they’re first done. I simply pour that few drops of water off.Second you will see water stains develop on the heating element. If you have really hard water, this will happen very quickly. My water is very bad and I had them develop after my first use. I found cleaning it with a little vinegar would eventually remove the stains but I was concerned that I would get the electric components wet when I tried rinsing off the tray. To try and save myself some time, I got some distilled water.

Never going back to boiling eggs on the stove!

I absolutely freaking LOVE this thing. I’ve had it now for several months and have used it a couple times each week to stock up on eggs for snacks, salads, etc.; I eat LOTS of eggs because of food allergies and immune issues that mean I can’t eat other things. It’s so easy to use this cooker. It’s even FUN to poke the holes in the egg shells with the tool included, arrange the cute little eggs in the basket dips and then lift them out when done, and then, as a plus, the cute thing SINGS at you when it’s finished? And it doesn’t take any longer than waiting for water to heat and boil the eggs on the stove top? AND it’s only about $20?! Marry me, Dash Egg Cooker. This thing has completely streamlined and enhanced my life, and I’m never going back to the stovetop method if I can help it. I’ve already bought one to give as a gift, too. How can you not? It doesn’t even take up much space! It’s pretty tiny and very light.I basically only do hard boiled eggs in it, but I have used the omelet tray and the poaching one, and I will say — definitely DO coat those with some kind of oil for nonstick help if you go this route. I forgot to do that, because the plastic looked slippery enough and I figured poached eggs especially would just blob out…. No. What a mess. So save yourself that trouble, LOL.I have also tested steaming other foods like broccoli and salmon in this thing, and it cooks fast and works out great. You don’t have to be TOO worried about the right water amounts for that, I found. If you’re debating about whether you need another kitchen gadget, don’t waste time on debating this one. Just GET it!! It is beyond worth it, even if you only take it out once every couple months to make deviled eggs for a party or something!

    Delicious

I tried to make soft boiled eggs my first time and ended up with uncooked egg white so im sticking with medium boil. This is the first time in FOREVER I’ve actually been able to peel the eggs perfectly which is what i was hoping for. Will warn yall that beeping does not stop until its unplugged.

First Time I’ve Used an Egg Cooker

This was the first time I’ve ever owned or even used an egg cooker and didn’t know what to expect. This little thing does work really well and is pretty consistent with the degree to which the eggs are cooked. They also peel really easy, but I’m not sure why it’s easier than boiling them in a pot. The cooker is easy to use and clean, and comes with a variety of tools or add-on components. I think my only complaint would be that the water cooks/evaporates a bit too quickly and so it shuts itself off sooner than I’d prefer, I think the hole in the lid for releasing the steam is too wide. Don’t get me wrong, the eggs are done, but I’d prefer they steam a little bit longer, so when the jingle starts playing to alert me the eggs are done I just unplug it and leave them in a while longer to get more firm before putting them in cold water. So not a problem or a defect, just a personal preference. A great little appliance that I don’t regret buying and may purchase again as a gift for someone else. I’m always a bit leary about cooking foods with plastic appliances, but these are supposed to be safe plastic components and I’m certainly less leary about steam cooking with plastic than I am with microwaving plastic bowls or containers, so I’m not really concerned with the plastic parts of this little egg cooker.

    Easy to use

Sense i received it I buy more egg’s because I like the finished product. I have cooked eggs with the hole punched in the egg ( they recommend) and without the hole it works either with way. The hole in the egg is much better. The eggs are easier to peel and I feel they taste better. It’s easy to clean I don’t until the brown stain shows up which said would happen maybe once a week or so. I highly recommend it if not for the novelty of it for the practical use. I will by some to give as gifts for grandkids in school or single people living alone.

    Doesn’t consistently cook eggs

I’ve been trying this for a couple days and love it. However, I never get my eggs consistently cooked the same way. I followed the directions on the measuring cup, and sometimes I will do hard boiled and sometimes I will do medium. Every time I do hard it comes out in between soft and medium boiled. I’ve found that if I want hard boiled I have to let them continue to cook even after the timer goes off. On another note, they’re very easy to peel and I love not having to watch a pot of water to see when it will boil. I can multitask while making breakfast!

    Love this!

I was skeptical, but loving this. I hadn’t had a soft boiled egg since my mom made them when I was little. Every attempt, I screwed up. Not anymore. This makes perfect soft boiled, as well as hard boiled. Shells fall off every time

Not a gimmick or toy, works really well.

I was skeptical, but with all the reviews here I gave it a shot. Well after the first egg cooked at medium boiled , I knew it was the real deal. Cooked fast and at the perfect temperature. Even with the cold eggs from the fridge. Then I did some soft boiled eggs, a true test in my opinion. Well, absolutely perfect eggs again! The great thing about this cool machine is how quickly it works. No more boiling water and waiting. My eggs were ready in about 5 minutes. Ish. Highly recommended.

Fantastic eggs in a simple little cooker

The instructions were clear and straightforward. Follow them and you’ll have the perfect eggs. It might take a little experiment to find YOUR perfect egg but it’s simply the amount of water you add to the cooker. We love a good runny yolk and it’s easy as can be with this. My only issue is that sometimes egg whites will squeeze out and onto the heating surface where it can leave little marks and stains. I’ve tried to scrub it off but it remains. It isn’t a huge deal and doesn’t seem to affect the performance so it isn’t the ends of the world. Overall a fun little cooker that makes perfect eggs.

Problem: I can’t stop eating eggs

Look, boiling eggs is easy. Sometimes timing them is rough, sure but it’s not hard. But this — this thing is incredible. I’ve only had this thing three days (I bought it on recommendation from my friend whose had hers for a month now) but I’ve already had six eggs which look is a solid thing of protein and it has caused me from having other snacks but I am OBSESSED with it. I pop them in and wander off and come back to perfectly medium-boiled eggs and they’re AWESOME. My world is OPENING.I have to recommend this. It’s incredible.

    It makes eggs, y’all!

We have an older version of this product that buzzed so loudly and terrifyingly that you’d think the end of the world was happening. This one has a soft, short little jingle to signal that the eggs are done. Honestly, it was worth rebuying it just so I wasn’t scaring the soul out of my housemates every time I wanted some boiled eggs. Why not just boil them in a pot, you ask? I’m incapable of boiling eggs without over- or under-cooking them. I’m a good cook otherwise, but the art of boiled eggs has eluded me until now.Super easy to use. Just remember to poke your eggs at the bottom– there’s a small air pocket at the top of every egg, which is why you can’t poke it there! The booklet tells you how to clean mineral buildup easily, so don’t worry if you think it’s looking ‘rusted’.Buy this. It seems trivial, but it’s nice to not have to think about boiling your eggs while cooking the other parts of your meal. Having them done exactly the way you want, every time, is worth the cost and space of this little gadget.

    Perfect for boiling eggs

This is the perfect tool for boiling eggs. I have made 2 batches (4 eggs each time) so far. The eggs are cooked perfectly, and they peeled easily (definitely follow the instructions to poke the eggs with the included tool). The base wipes out easily (I recommend this as minerals will start to build up as the water boils off).My family loves boiled eggs in their salad, so this makes it less of a chore, I don’t have to watch and wait as the water boils on the stove. Believe me, I always walked away, then the water boiled too hard and the eggs cracked!) Definitely worth the small space it take up in the cabinet. By the way, all the pieces nest together to take up just a small space in my cabinet.

    Great for dorm living!

I live in a dorm and eat lots of eggs, but got sick of cooking them all the same in the microwave. I love that this one device allows you to cook eggs so many ways, and that I can even make just two hard-boiled eggs at a time. Definitely recommend whether you live in a dorm or not.

    Love this product!

This is the easiest way to cook eggs! So far I have tried to cook a single softboiled egg and it came out great. The batch of 6 hardboiled eggs was great, too. I have not yet tried the omlette or poached egg accessories. The machine turns itself off once all water has evaporated and plays a song to let you know it’s done (kind of loud, but I appreciate that). The one thing that is a little weird to me is the smell of the plate. I had a little bit of one egg drip into the bottom and though it was super easy to clean, that might be the smell that is lingering since it burned itself into the plate a little. There are no marks on the plate from it, though.

    Good quality for the price!

I was skeptical purchasing an egg cooker because how would it know when the eggs are cooked if there is no timer to set? I was pleasantly surprised that the hard boiled eggs I made came out perfectly! I removed one star since the water evaporated on one side more quickly which caused the bottom heat plate to burn. I’ll try adding a bit more water the next time I make eggs to see if that resolves the issue. Overall I highly recommend this product for the quality and price!

It even has a little ditty / tune that plays at the end of the cooking cycle. So cute.I am so happy with this product and everything I have from this brand. Affordable, well designed and reliable.

Cooks the perfect hard boiled eggs. No so good for egg poaching.

Product is awesome for cooking perfect hard boiled eggs.Omelet tray works well. However the egg poacher is a bit small for cooking large eggs. Tried to cook 2 poached eggs and they spewed over onto the hot plate while cooking. That made cleanup very difficult. The documentation that came with the product has no mention on what size of the eggs should be used.If using the egg poacher I recommend using medium or small eggs.

Been enjoying this easy to use appliance! To be honest the eggs are easier to peel and I am so happy my friend suggested this for me. All started off with our healthy eating challenge month and sharing things we are doing to help us eat better. This came up in the thread and this item has helped me start my days off with easy hard boiled eggs. Super happy with purchase my moms been visiting and she asked me to order one for her too… would buy again. 🙂

I Had One From Years Ago But Needed One For a New Location

This product is GREAT ! I got a DASH egg cooker in a bargain Christmas clearance sale at my grocery a few years ago. Recently, I needed one for a new location. I bought a similar product at Walmart but it did not have the same features and was not made as well as the egg piercer was open where I almost stabbed myself. Also, there was no handle or latch. So, after one use I took it back. When I found this DASH egg cooker on Amazon I was excited. I knew if it was like my old one it would be a good product. It is. This model has a latch for storage (not to be latched while cooking). The egg piercer needle is in a guard to keep you from accidentally stabbing yourself. It makes the best hard boiled eggs. Today for first time I also made poached eggs for toast and they turned out just right. I loved this product so much I gave one to a new neighbor and they are delighted with it. I can only vouch for the 6 egg cooker but I see that DASH has other models that cook even more. I have some other DASH products. They are all quality products that I could recommend. I had never even heard of DASH products until I had my first couple from the after Christmas sale at my grocery. Mine are wonderful. After every use, I spray with vinegar and just wipe out with paper towel to clean so it looks brand new. You always know when your eggs are done. My old model has an annoying buzzer that goes off when cooking is done. The new model plays a cute little song when cooking is complete. It tells you when to turn it off. The cooking time depends on the amount of water you measure for the type of egg soft or hard that you want.

    quick and easy boiled eggs

I had one of the ones that did 7 eggs, but the egg holder disappeared. They don’t seem to make that one anymore so I got the 6 egg one. This is just as good and works a bit better. The last one just buzzed when it was done. but this one plays a tune.I thought my friend had left his phone here when I first heard it but as I got closer to the kitchen I realized it was the egg cooker. SMILE:It’s a bit strange that you aren’t supposed to lock it while it’s cooking, but the instructions stress this. Then why have that feature? The omelet instructions are wrong though. It says, to mix the eggs in a bowl and pour them into the egg cooking tray, then gives cooking time. There’s nothing about when or if to add the other engredients. That’s not an omelet, that’s cooked eggs.Wonderful product, slap dash instructions.I’d buy it again and probably will when this one bites the dust.. or when the egg tray goes missing again. LOL:

    Huge Help

I’m disabled and sometimes making food is very difficult. I’d heard some other spoonies talking about how great these were and I admit, I was skeptical but this egg maker was cheap enough I decided to try it. I’m so glad I did. The eggs this makes are absolutely delicious, the best hard boiled eggs I’ve ever had. They are perfect every time. Peeling is pretty easy too. I keep a bag of plastic ice cubes around and just put them in a bowl of water to dunk the eggs when they’re done and it works like a charm. Overall it means I get to have an easy source of protein around all the time. The only downside is that it’s somewhat hard to clean. I accidentally put the eggs in upside down, with the hole facing down, and it scalded some eggwhite to the bottom. Because you can’t take the heating tray out, I had to be very careful to not get the bottom wet while scrubbing it clean. With proper use it also sometimes needs to be washed from stray eggwhite and it’s still a problem. What I ended up doing was using my retainer cleaning tablets on it and they got everything off.

Perfect hard boiled eggs-This thing works. Period

Awesome, no more maybe having green eggs.1st round. I put in 3 eggs. About 13 minutes later I had 3 hard boiled eggs although the yoke was a bit on the medium side. I should have let it set for 1 more minute before putting in the Ice water.2nd round.Put all 6 eggs in. Unit sounded 14 minutes later, I let the eggs set in the unit for another minute before the ice bath. Voila, 6 Perfect hard boil eggs. The eggs I used were Large. X-large may need 2 extra minutes before bath. Small eggs probably can go in the ice bath immediately after timer. The unit sounds an alarm after completion. Silence it by pushing the on/off button.Round 3: 12 eggs total..1st 6 found 1 egg that was ever so slightly green around the edges. 2nd 6 eggs were perfect except 1 that was ever so slightly under. Both of these could be the time after the alarm it took me to get to them and put in a ice bath.1st it took longer to get in the ice bath, 2nd a shorter time. If you don’t use the ice bath and just cold water, don’t wait the extra minute mentioned above.Another round..Had 1 batch with a slightly green layer.. I think it might be because I took them out of the cold bath too soon. Removed them because of the next batch… About 13 minutes. Suggest waiting before you start the next batch.. Next batch was left for almost 30 minutes and they turned out fine.

    Don’t hesitate…buy this little powerhouse!

I am not generally a ‘gadget’ person. Something needs to be really versatile for me to even consider it. I read about this in an article about handy kitchen gadgets that are worth buying, so I looked at it, and read the reviews. Then I ordered it and the day after it came in I offered to make poached eggs for supper. My hubby was happy to sit back and let me do that. When I tell you the only downside of the poacher is only doing 2 at once, I mean it. Follow the directions and you’re golden.Yesterday I made hard boiled eggs. I used all 6 spots, and because I didn’t want a completely dry yolk I added a little less water than what ‘hard’ called for. Popping the holes in the shells and setting this up to cook for 15 mins took less time than boiling and cooking, and took far less water. They peeled nice and easy, and were perfectly cooked! Pics attached.I have hard water, so cleaning the cooking tray was a little tedious, but I’ll use filtered from now on to avoid that. Overall, very easy to clean.I highly recommend. I’ve had it less than a week, used it twice, but can see how I’ll want to try different things in there, as well. Looking forward to experimenting!

My insights and tips. I love it!

It does what it’s supposed to do. What you need to know is, there are lots of variables involved in getting the boiled egg you like. It’s a matter of trial and error until you figure it out.– size of egg matters; the bigger the egg, the more water & time it’s going to need (more than it says)– temperature of egg matters; whether it’s lukewarm from the hen-house or just out of a cold fridge– your personal take on what “soft,” “medium,” and “hard” is supposed to be likeI started off with an Extra Large “Country Hen” brand egg (just one egg) and filled the little cup to exactly the “medium” mark. I did not puncture the egg. It steamed for around 4 minutes and the music came on. I turned off the music and let it sit in the unit another 30 seconds, then transferred it to a bowl of cold water for one minute, then started peeling it. I got most of the peel off one-third of the egg and was having trouble getting the peel off. Then I realized the egg was really, really squishy and not cooked. So, I deposited the partly peeled egg back in the unit and filled the cup to the “soft” setting this time. At the end of 2 minutes the music went off and I could see that the white of the egg looked a little firmer, so I removed the egg (with a potholder) and tried peeling it again; it was still kind of squishy. I repeated this last process one more time, filling the cup to “soft” and then was able to peel the egg; still a little difficult to peel but I was finally able to slide a spoon under the egg’s membrane and got it loose. The photo is what it looked like after I placed the egg on toast and chopped it up. All I can say is it’s an egg, and it came out the way I intended it, but I need to figure out the water measurement better next time so I didn’t have to go through all that rigamarole. I provide this description of what I did for others who find that their egg is not quite cooked enough; you can stick it back in the unit and cook it some more! It works. As for the unit itself, there are a lot of things I really like about it:– The overall shape is pleasantly round, and not bulbous or squarish like some of them. It’s more organic looking with roundy legs and not stick-like legs.– The cord is white, not black like some other brands, and blends in better with my kitchen counter. It’s not super long, but it’s long enough.– I got the yellow one and I’m really pleased with the color; it’s the same soft color as a cooked egg yolk, and not glaringly yellow.– The top part of the unit can be secured onto the bottom part by turning the top so that it “locks” with the bottom part; the instructions say not to do that, though, while it’s cooking. But this makes it easier to lift the unit together with its top and parts inside it, instead of having separate pieces that can fall off. Some of the other brands don’t have this feature.– The unit only cooks 6 eggs at a time, not 7 like most, but that’s fine with me because I only need to cook eggs for one or two people.– The fact that it only does 6 eggs means that the center of the egg holder is free for a little spindle that can be placed there before cooking so you can lift the entire egg tray up and move it to cold water. Other brands don’t have that.– The alarm is pleasantly musical and not too loud, unlike some other brands with a loud buzzer that knocks you off your feet.Cons:– The measuring cup is not marked with ink, just raised indicators same color as the clear plastic. You have to hold it up to the light to see how much you’re putting in there. I may order a better measuring cup for teaspoons, tablespoons, and ounces.Anyhow, I think I’ve gotten the best egg cooker available. The price is right, the unit is cute, it works, even if you flub up and have to keep putting the egg back in there, even partially peeled, it will still cook you an egg. And mine came out just fine even with all that fuss. I plan on getting better at it.I will report back if I come up with more tips.Update after 5 uses: I decided to punch a hole in the end of the egg, and this does seem to make it just a little easier to peel. I’m using Extra Large eggs, and it definitely takes a lot more water (= longer time). I’ve filled the cup to the “Hard” level, as well as a little above that, and the egg comes out more like soft/medium-boiled (but not runny). I don’t leave it in the machine; I take it right out and lower it into a bowl of water with ice cubes for a minute. Every morning I can look forward to an egg now, without the hassle of getting out pots and pans and trying to guess how long the egg is going to take or winding up with a harder or softer egg.

    Nice

This is our 3rd Dash egg cooker. Our last was a double tiered one but the dome plastic cracked and we rarely used the 2nd tier. 6 eggs is about what we like to cook at one time. After 2 days in the fridge, the taste is off so more than 6 eggs is a waste. We do not use the egg piercer and have no issues with cooking the eggs. Sometimes the shell may rupture but it seems to happen just as often with piercing. The manual is easy to read and the ability to poach eggs for ramen is great.Caution: when unpacking, take care to find the handle for the egg tray. We almost discarded that and realized it doesn’t have a built in handle like our old DASH egg cooker.

    Perfect hard boiled eggs

I ordered this after a friend recommended it. I was very doubtful it would work as well as she said . Just tried it out —IT IS EVEN BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE HOPED FOR !!Six perfect hard boiled eggs . So easy to do . I followed the simple instructions. Very clearly written out with pictures. When the self timer went off, it played a cute tune until I went to unplug egg cooker . I easily peeled six hard boiled eggs , cut them up and made delicious egg salad . I’m just shocked how easy this machine made those eggs . And the shells peeled off without taking any egg with them . LOVE IT !!

AN AMAZING HARD BOILED EGG MAKER!

A very simple, easy, and practical way to make hard-boiled eggs! You simply pour the water from the measuring cup provided into the heating plate. Put the plastic egg holder in position above the heating plate and put in the number of eggs you want to cook (from 1 to 6) and cover. Push the button control in to start the eggs cooking(which takes about 13 minutes to cook). A chime-like alarm goes off when the eggs are done. Put them in ice water for 15 minutes. They are done and ready to eat. Simple.

Easy to use and plays a tune when eggs are done.

I was amazed at how easy this egg cooker was to use and precise. Just poke some holes in the top of the eggs with the hole puncher the product comes with, fill the bottom of the egg cooker to desired level for type of boiled egg you want, pop the lid on, push the button to turn it on, and when it’s done it plays a little tune to let you know your eggs are done.Helpful tip: I noticed that if you try to do a soft or med boil, that if you leave the eggs in the egg cooker after it’s done it will continue to cook the eggs just by residual heat remaining in the cooker and eggs. Once the eggs are done cooking I recommend immediately placing them in cold water (tap temp is fine) to stop the cooking process.

    Game Changer for eggs

I had an old microwave cooker for hard boiled eggs, welp that exploded and I needed to replace it. I bought this because I wanted an option other than cooking them on the stove.I LOVE THIS !!!It has a few different cooking options other than hard boiling eggs. It cooks up to 6 eggs (for hardboil) at a time and they came out perfect every time. Then we tried the other 2 options ‘just for kicks’ I made the hubby poached eggs, he was very pleased with them and then we did the omelet style. This would be a good option for breakfast sandwiches since it comes out as a perfect circle, but large enough to slice it in half for 2 sandwiches…. we dabbled with adding cheese also. The item knows when to turn off and will play a song until you physically unplug it to let you know it’s done. No concerns of needing to watch over it… set it and forget it people !!!10/ 10 purchase.

    JUST BUY IT!!

I’ve had this for over a year now, and use it regularly. This eggmaker is a gamechanger if you love hard-boiled eggs. Very easy to use with little cleanup. It comes with a measuring cup with a short needle attached to the bottom that is covered by a plastic compartment when not being used. You have to puncture the eggs before cooking, but because of this step, the EGG SHELLS PEEL OFF SO EASY! Also, It hardly uses any water compared to normal stovetop cooking. I have noticed some water stains on the hotplate, but it is pretty much unavoidable with this type of product and doesn’t bother me.
