It’s a Lego Darth Vader helmet, what else is there to say?
Over the past year or so, Lego sets have become sort of my Zen for dealing with stressful times at work. I find building them very relaxing, and luckily there are some very cool adult-oriented sets. None cooler than this Darth Vader helmet, though.I will say that this set was a little more fragile than the other Star Wars helmet sets that I’ve put together. I broke pieces off more often when trying to snap in a difficult piece elsewhere. And when I put it in an acrylic case, it was a bit of a pain with small pieces breaking off and having to figure out where to put them back. It’s just the nature of the design, though, which is a little more complex than the Boba Fett or Mando helmets.Also, being mostly black pieces, some parts of the build required some extra searching through the pile to find the right piece as they all blended together.Overall, though, it served its purpose during a week where the stress levels were through the roof, and it looks incredibly cool. Like all Lego, it’s a little pricey, but worth it to me for getting back a little peace of mind after a rough day.

Very well designed and engineered Lego kit! Pretty challenging and can be completed in a few hours. Final product is very cool for the Star Wars fans like myself!My only minor gripe is that I was expecting a somewhat larger piece when completed. Honestly it’s fairly small but no less cool! Highly recommended for the Vader fan either as a gift or for your own enjoyment!

Impressive Detail
I’ve been a LEGO fan since I was a kid. At 33 years old that hasn’t changed. This Vader build is amazing and the level of detail is exceptional. The instructions flow well and kept it enjoyable and frustration free throughout the entire build. Very smooth process. I keep it proudly on display at my creative workstation. Highly recommend.

Satisfying
This was my most challenging build so far. Been building for about a month. Usually do the technic cars and this one was a different animal because you’re building on top of the stand and it’s satisfying seeing it come together. Great build. Not for a novice. Great gift idea but it’s a bit expensive.

So many pieces.
Luckily my set came with all the pieces and extra. I’ve built other sets similar to this and i wasn’t a fan of this Darth Vader one. It had sooo many unnecessary pieces to put on which i didn’t like. Took me about 3 to 4 hours to build but wasnt’t too happy with how it came out.

This helmet was a lot of fun. This was my first Star Wars helmet so far and it definitely turned out better than expected. One thing to mention is that at one part of the build you have to attach two of these long, yellow, oval shaped pieces. When I first put them in they were very wobbly and would not sit straight, just kept falling from left to right. The build book made no mention of it so I hopped over to youtube and watched someone else doing a build of it. Turns out those long, yellow pieces are supposed to be wobbly until later on in the build. Other people might know that already but as a first time builder I was worried I had done something wrong.

This is a challenging set even for an adult! The big issue we have had is the missing pieces. We’ve had to take multiple runs to the Lego store to get what we needed. I realize they will send missing parts, but we are not waiting for that!

It’s alright but frustrating to put together.
I am a beginner at building legos. Still, I’ve been able to build sets like the Nano infinity gauntlet from Endgame with little trouble. However, this set was frustrating. It started out pretty easy but once I got to the top of the head, things began to fall apart. I don’t know if I did something wrong or what (I don’t think I did, I was closely following the directions) but I could not get the legos to stick to the top. Then, on the fifth bag, I could not get the side of the helmet to stick on the head. When I tried to force it, it made other parts (the eyes) fall off. I ended up giving up on this one. It was not very fun to build and a bit too frustrating. I don’t think I will do many Lego head sets anymore. Maybe they just are a bit more complicated than I’m used to.

Shipping Issues
The build was easy, and it looks amazing. The issue I have is that they stuck the label onto the box itself. I had purchased lego sets through Amazon before, where the used shipping sleeves and actually cared about the box. I’m a nerd who like to keep the boxes for the sets I build, so you can understand the disappointment when I saw the label over Vader’s face on the front of the box. Other than that, the contents were all there and it’s pretty accurate overall.

The Best Gift for Lego Lovers!
Trying to find a gift for my boyfriend’s birthday was so difficult for me. My brother has recommended this StarWars Darth Vader Lego Set knowing it was 2 of things my boyfriend loves. I was so super excited when I ordered it, but seeing the size of it in person was better than I expected. It was a lot bigger in person & a lot heavier. My boyfriend loved the gift & built it in a week & now has it sitting on the bedroom desk at home! I can’t wait to order him other lego displays like this one! I don’t recommend this set for children but mostly teens & adults because of the difficulty.
