High quality and inexpensive
I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality and easiness of assembly. I don’t dislike ikea, but this was soooo much easier to assemble. They even included ratcheting Allen wrench which made it so much easier and quicker. Feels very solid and it looks way more expensive than what I paid.

King is ok ,But the Queen was great
The king for some reason was 1/4 wide near headboard . But in all a good looking bed. Let’s face it if your buying a bed on amazon you should not think it will stand up to Lexington or RH .but for spare room wow.

It’s good, nice color
The color is great, there is a bit of a strange smell when it’s first opened and the directions have no words.. which lead to guessing on some parts. Not all the slats reach across from one side to the other, they fall short and don’t reach. But for the price… it is good.

Fantastic bed for a great price!
I have purchased and personally assembled several of these beds for my personal use and to use in our Air B&B’s. I also have several other similar style beds – Grier and Erin beds from World Market, grey linen from Target and Malm from IKEA. The Zinus beds are my favorite so far. The quality is much better than the others, they’re sturdy and I love the navy blue color. They sit high enough off the floor that you can still use the underneath for storage. You won’t get that with the lower beds like the Erin or Malm. FYI, stay away from the Malm bed. The support rails are required and sold separately, the headboard contacts the floor and will be ruined if you ever have a leak plus you will constantly hit your shin on the foot board and it hurts like a mutha. The Malm night stands however look very nice with these upholstered beds and they’re tough to beat for $50. Spend the extra couple bucks and get the matching glass tops, Ikea sells them separately.The main consideration with the Zinus bed is the mattress sits much higher on them than any of them other beds I mentioned. If you pair it with a 12″ mattress you’re pretty much back to a standard bed hight as if you had a box spring. That can be good or bad depending on your preference but if you’re looking for a low platform bed this is not the bed for you. The Erin Cute as a button bed is the lowest of all the beds we have and would be good for a child or someone with impaired mobility. The second thing I didn’t realize when I ordered but the Zinus beds at least in a queen size only have one row of buttons instead of two like most upholstered beds. Several inches of the bottom of the headboard is just fabric stretched over a frame. If your mattress isn’t at least 10″ tall some of that part will be exposed. It wouldn’t look bad but my concern would be that you might end up putting a hole in it or stretching it out from leaning on it. I can’t understand why they didn’t go down further with the internal support and foam. The quality and design is great otherwise. The area is accessible from the back when you have the headboard unzipped so you may be able to reinforce it if you’re handy. The legs are plastic but I really don’t notice and I like that I don’t have to worry about wood stain reacting or bleeding on to my rugs/carpet.

Assembly easier with two
Love the finished project but wasn’t the easiest to put together. The blue is more a navy/denim color, I thought it was more teal when ordering but I still love the color. I did appreciate how everything was packed inside the headboard, that was pretty cool. I did have to remove the pieces to get up my staircase as it was too heavy to push up my stairs by myself. Assembly was awkward at times, the slats came with velcro which i hadn’t realized and bought some separately. Velcro is a must. The skats also have to be wedged into place, took some doing, would recommend a rubber mallet to gently get them into place. I have a deep queen mattress and it fits great, I actually have found it more firm and comfortable on this platform frame than on the box spring I previously had – I was going to order a whole new mattress but now I think I’ll wait. Cat owners be warned they’ll see the upholstery as a new cat scratcher and mine love sitting on top of the high head board.

Easy assembly
I was able to get it set up all by myself in less than an hour. I love how easy it is to put the pieces together and the fact that a lot of the screws are already in place, you just have to loosen then to fit pieces together and retighten. The package has extra parts (labeled spare parts) and a ratchet tool to make the assemble process even simpler. I am impressed with the quality and love how it looks in my room!

Mattress slides down
It will have been a perfect bed if there was a system to hold the matress, so the mattress won’t move. I f they can add some upper side, that would help keep the mattress in place.

Star only removed because color is not very navy…
This is my third zinus frame and I have had numerous of their mattresses. Every time they are excellent quality and the cost is just truly unbeatable. The only reason I took one star off is because, in anticipation of this bed frame, I bought different blue-hued wall paper, cutlrtains, etc., and it really is more teal green. This was pretty frustrating because it turned into a return pile. That being said, don’t hesitate to buy this bed (just decide on your decor after it arrives :).Note a few of my favorite things about zinus:-it’s awesome how everything is zipped in the back of the headboard-great company if you have to exchange or return-can confirm their bedframes last multiple years for the cost of what we spend on dinner and a movie for two adults and two kids, seriously-love the tool they send along with a regular Allen wrench… We keep them around the house and have saved my hand from getting extra tired so many times

Love the bed, hated the customer service from Amazon
Bed looks so nice and is wonderful quality! Very happy with it. Buy it from anywhere but Amazon if you can though.It was a nightmare dealing with their customer service. They sent the completely wrong, very heavy item and then told me they wouldn’t refund my money until they picked it up (so I couldn’t repurchase the thing I was suppose to get for over 2 weeks because they kept never coming to get it) Then they told me to keep the very large heavy item I stressed I didnt want to keep that doesn’t fit in my trash and no one wanted. Maybe it seems like a minor inconvenience to others, but I live in a small space and it was very poor customer service for as large a company as they are.

I LOVE this bed!
I’ve been searching for a quality affordable platform bed for literally years. For some reason, all the beds I’ve looked at up to this point just didn’t seem to meet my needs aesthetically, or they were way beyond my budget. I read the positive reviews of this bed by Zinus and felt it was worth a shot. I also was enticed by the beautiful blue color of the fabric headboard and the ingenious design of storing the bed parts in a panel behind the headboard. It shipped in a box that was manageable enough for me to bring into the house by myself. All the parts were included, and I had no issues with the instructions. I was able to assemble this bed by myself with absolutely zero problems. It’s extremely sturdy and doesn’t budge during the night. I am using a foam mattress that I previously owned, and I find the sturdiness of the bed frame combined with the comfort of the mattress makes for the perfect night’s sleep. I really do love the look of the headboard. It’s a rich blue that I love so much I’ve taken to refinishing my mid-century night stand to match. I have recommended this bed to many of my friends who can’t believe the affordable pricing. Don’t be skeptical about the price, this is a quality made bed and you will NOT regret your purchase. One of the best purchases I’ve made!

I didn’t expect this to improve my sleep as much as it did!
It took a bit longer than expected to assemble as one of the metal parts I got was a bit bent. Thankfully a few bangs with a hammer can fix a lot of things. Once I got everything straightened out for assembly (pun intended) I was able follow the instructions easily. Props that the entire frame can fit in the headboard it makes for good storage for shipping. The headboard itself however exceeded my expectations! With the finish so soft and the buttons properly secured, it’s so comfy. I know some people were concerned of bed bugs in some packages and I took the risk so you dont have to. I opened up the package and headboard in my driveway on a tarp to give it a very close examination and thankfully there was no trace (although the reviews really scared me but this just seemed like too good of a deal not to try). I would absolutely recommend this product despite the hiccups in the beginning this is a product of great value!

Great Bed
After reading the reviews, I went ahead and bought this queen sized bed for my memory foam mattress. I have to say, this really lives up to the hype.Firstly, I have to comment on the packaging. I know other reviewers were disappointed because there was damage to the product. My bed came with knicks and dings on the outer cardboard, so I was a bit worried. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bed itself was inside a whole other box inside of the outer packaging. The package design was very clever; all the remaining pieces of the frame are nicely and securely packaged inside the headboard. There is a giant zipper that gives you access to everything, and lots of cardboard and padding to keep it safe. I assembled the whole thing by myself in under an hour. It’s hard to see from the pictures, but the wooden planks are evenly spaced with the velcro (almost like a ladder) which made it really easy to assemble. It really is beautiful to look at and I can tell it is really sturdy.This is the second Zinus bed frame that I’ve bought and I’ve had great experiences with both. This one looks way more expensive then what you actually pay for it. I’ve seen similar frames at furniture stores for 3 – 5 times this cost.IF you are on the fence, definitely go for it. You won’t be sorry.

Great Bedframe
This is a very solid bedframe. It is a strong piece of furniture and goes together very easy. The packaging is very well conceived as well. It is heavy to move in the box, so it was easier for us to unpack it where it was delivered and bring the individual pieces upstairs to our room. A great value for sure.

Instructions not labeled the same as parts
Assembly went fairly quick once I realized the instructions weren’t labeled the same as the parts. I just used the parts list and figured it out. All went well till I tried to put on the slats and they were too long. I loosened the bolts in the headboard and footboard and pushed the side boards out while pushing down on the slats, then tightened the bolts and all was well. For the price it seems good.

Had the frame for several months and it’s still sturdy and doing it’s job. My only complaint would be that the legs of this frame make it impossible to store anything under the bed and we are constantly stubbing our toes on the ones near the edge of the frame

Sturdy and Easy to Assemble
I ordered this platform bed to replace an old metal bed frame. This one cost $60 more than a standard king metal frame. The frame came in a flat box the size of the headboard. All of the pieces were inside the zippered compartment of the headboard. Directions were easy to follow, the kit came with labeled hardware, a small ratchet and allen wrench key. The ratchet was an excellent tool for this set up. As long as you have a basic knowledge of assembly, the process is easy. All of the holes lined up. The only bit of difficulty I had was in sliding the side boards together, this just required loosening screws a bit to slide into place. Once the frame was assembled, it was very sturdy. I have carpet and this may also aid in the stability but once the mattress is in place, the whole things is solid. I liked that the mattress slats were velcro so they do not slide around. I kept my box spring and this makes the bed height waist high for me-I am 5’2″. There were no defects that I could see (the delivery guys were excellent and there was zero box damage) and the upholstering did not have any chemical odors that sometimes comes with furniture. I am very satisfied with the product and would definitely purchase it again.

Easy to assemble with the included ratcheting tool
I received this bed a few weeks ago, and it arrived several days before the shipping estimate. This bed is easy to assemble, even without help. The directions are very clear and the hardware is packaged so the parts are easy to distinguish. An allen wrench was sealed in with the bolts, but an amazing little ratcheting tool was also included. It took me about an hour and a half to unwrap (which I marveled over the thoughtful design how all the pieces fit into a zipper compartment on the back of the headboard. Genius!… and a good place to hide Christmas gifts after the bed is assembled!) and assemble the whole bed. It would have taken much longer with the standard allen wrench. The blue fabric resembles dark denim. The rails and end board are nicely padded. The wood slats felt quite sturdy and the velcro strapping made spacing them a non-issue and they felt very secure attached to the frame. This bed replaced an old hollywood bed frame with a box spring and regular mattress. With a memory foam mattress (nectar) on this platform bed, it’s slightly lower than the old bed by 2-3 inches. I’ll update if quality becomes an issue, but so far I’m very happy with the quality, style, and silence (you know what I mean!) this bed offers!

Looks wonderful with king mattress!
Finally bought a platform headboard and frame to replace my ancient boxsprings and metal frames for my king size mattress. This looks really nice and was pretty easy to assemble, just recommend doing so in a bright room. The instructions have some lighter print that was harder too see in the diagrams provided, but otherwise they were great. Comes with a small ratchet that made the whole process very smooth and easy. I also slid the extra hardware and ratchet inside the zippered part of the headboard in case I ever need them.

Nice headboard but inadequate platform bed
The bed arrived promptly. I purchased the headboard/platform bed to replace my box springs and metal frame for my TempurPedic memory foam mattress. After breaking down my existing setup, I carried the very heavy TempurPedic box springs down the stairs to my garage. I was planning on getting rid of them after I had the new headboard/platform set up. I assembled it by myself in about 40 minutes and it went together without an issue. I put my mattress on the platform and laid down to relax after carrying everything and assembling this. I immediately noticed a huge difference in the comfort of my mattress between my old set up and the new platform bed. It was clear that the wooden slats on the platform were not nearly enough support for the mattress. I have read other reviews that complain of this issue where people have added plywood to stiffen up the platform and they are 100% correct. When my wife got on the bed, we noticed that we could feel much more movement when the other person got in/out of bed. The wooden slats offer about half of the platform coverage compared to having the regular box springs and since the slats span the entire width of the platform frame, they dip on one side when a person is lying down and when the other person gets in the bed they bow in the opposite direction and you can feel every movement the other person makes. With the old set up, we couldn’t feel when the other person got in and out of bed because the box sprints and metal frame offered so much more support for the mattress. We used the bed for about 2 weeks until we decided it made our mattress so much more uncomfortable we couldn’t take it any more. That being said, instead of trying to buy plywood to modify the platform, I decided to disassemble the platform portion from the headboard and throw it out. I brought back my metal frame and box springs from the garage (really glad I didn’t dispose of them right after setting up the new platform) and made a bracket to connect the metal frame to the new headboard. So just know, the platform on the king size is completely inadequate as far as support.Moving on to the fabric headboard, it is nice and just what we expected. Since we only spent $136 on the entire setup, I wasn’t that disappointed that the platform had to be thrown out. Overall, you can’t get much of a headboard for that price so we are just using the headboard now.I hope this review is helpful when making your decision.

Looks Nice but….
In the end, I think the bed looks really nice! However, there are a few flaws in construction.1. In step 1 and 2, the pre drilled holes aren’t all lined up. On both sides, I was only able to get 2 of the 4 screws to line up. See photo to see how the metal hardware covered some of the screw holes. I decided 2 screws made it sturdy, so I left it at that.2. Some of the screws have flaws with the threads. Luckily, I didn’t use all the screws, so I was able to switch them out for others. But it took me a while to realize that’s what was causing me so many issues with tightening the screws.3. I still can’t figure this one out. When I was laying out the slats at the end, the head of the bed seems to be just a touch wider than the toe so the top slat isn’t long enough. I checked all my screws and connection points and they’re all tight and secure.. So the slat at the head of the bed is a little short. I think is a “me” problem but I can’t figure it out.Now that it’s all put together, it looks super nice! The mattress kind of sits on top of the bed rather than sunken down inside the side walls. The headboard is only padded at the top half which is fine because your mattress covers the area below that’s only upholstery. This bed looks really nice for the price and only took about an hour to build (only because of the screw/alignment issues). I would purchase this again.

Easy assembly, good quality for price
I assembled this by myself at 8 months pregnant. The box is extremely heavy but I could move it around on carpet. All the individual pieces for the bed come zipped/packed inside the headboard, which is smart and saves space.I’m using this as a king guest bed and didn’t want to break the bank but needed easy assembly and decent quality. So far this bed achieves all 3: intuitive assembly, the fabric is good quality, and it’s sturdy when you lay on it and move around.The only thing I found off-putting is that the peg legs for the end of the bed are plastic. As others have mentioned, the blue color of the fabric is deep. I’d call it a jewel tone blue. Overall, this is a steal of a deal for the price.

Great looking, sturdy and easypeasy assembly
We were prepared for the small size of the box when the Amazon knock came at the door but we really didn’t believe how easy to put together the bed was.We unboxed and pulled all the parts out of the headboard when it arrived to be sure we had everything but we didn’t start putting it together until the next day. From start to finish it took one hour and four minutes for two older out of shape guys to assemble it including the unboxing and unrolling and expansion of the Zinus mattress we also purchased. Much less time than we had figured and MUCH easier than expected. The instructions were clear even without words. We appreciated the shrink wrapping of the screws and the inclusion of the Allen wrench AND a ratchet version meant we both could work on tightening the bolts when needed. The bed frame looks to be of a much higher quality than we expected. It doesn’t feel like a bedtime that one has to assemble. The mattress is a little softer than we like but for the price and for the minimal use it is going to receive, it’s going to be great. The bed feels very sturdy and we think it is going to be enjoyed by any guests who come to see us in our new home. All in all for under $360 we are very pleased!

Who orders a bed by mail?
Wow! That’s all I want to say. I’m impressed. I was a bit shocked by the low price and it naturally made me skeptical of what I was going to get. Both my wife and my daughter loved what they saw and there were enough good reviews to make it look like it was worth the gamble. Boy am I happy I did!So it comes in this big box a few weeks ago and we had not finished painting the bedroom so it sat in the hallway. I finished the paint last night and my daughter was all reved to get it put up today. It was a great father-daughter opportunity to build something.We open it up and there is only the headboard. What? Wait? Oh, look at this sticker. (see phonto) They have all the other parts “INSIDE” the headboard. Cool! Points for good packing. More points for excellent directions and workmanship. It has picture instructions that are both easy to understand and clearly thought out.We got it put together quickly. I have just about every bit for my screw gun so we eschewed the supplied allen wrench and went with a hex bit on an extension to help us get to the screws. It went together quickly and was super solid once put up.I’m happy that my little girl is happy in her big-girl bedroom.No risk here. Nice product. Great price. Well boxed in two layers of boxing so it was able to arrive in perfect condition.

The design is a trade off of price, durability, function, quality, and ease of shipping. I was surprised when the box arrived that it might not be the complete bed. Turns out the headboard is hollow and has all the pieces held within it. As such, the headboard is mainly looks but has a strong frame. The kit is easy to assemble in about 30 minutes. Some bolts can be installed with a powered screwdriver but others, there is not enough clearance, but their ratcheting hex tool is nice enough. With mattress in place (I ordered a Zinus memory foam), it is solid with no squeaks or creaks. For the price, a great value.

Exceeded expectations! Looks sharp
I’m always nervous to buy something online that would be such a challenge to return due to its size and weight. But I am so pleased I took the chance! The blue is a nice dark “denim-like” blue (think of a really really dark wash) with some texture. It took me about an hour to put together myself and I only needed the Allen wrench they provided. (They provided an additional tool – an Allen ratchet to tighten everything up. I neglected to see it until I was done and boy do I wish I had. It could have cut my assembly time in half. Make sure you locate it and use it.). It has good clearance underneath to slide things under they bed and once all the screws were tightened and the mattress put on, the bed feels solid. This is a great price for a nice, simple bedroom facelift.

Stout frame that looks great!
I ordered this bed after we had a back mishap with our old frame and desperately needed to ditch the box frame.I read from other reviewers on how sturdy this sucker was for the more, rambunctious sleepers. So “click”! I ordered it.It came quick in the mail (sorry delivery guy!) in a large narrow box. I tore it open in excitement and got to work. All the parts were neatly packaged inside the headboard which zipped in the back. It came with all the required bits and bobs including a super handy little wrench that I’m definitely adding to my tool collection.It took my husband and I about an hour to put the whole thing together. It was by far the easiest piece of furniture I’ve ever worked on! Of course I’m comparing it to Ikea…so the bar is pretty low there. Still! It was easy to put together even for my 5’0 frame.This thing is super sturdy too. It hasn’t moved an inch since we put it together. Im gonna order another one for our guest bedroom. Absolutely a good buy!

Good Bed Frame, but Zero Customer Support – Beware
Likes:This is a nice bed frame for the price. It was easy to assemble and feels sturdy.Dislikes:The main dislike is that there is no customer support after the sale. Zinus refuses to even talk to me stating that Amazon shipped and packaged the bed so they are responsible for customer support. Amazon refuses to offer any customer support other than having me ship the bed frame back to them for a refund. I don’t want to disassemble the bed, try to get it back in the box, hope the packaging tape holds the box closed while it is shipped back to Amazon for probably as much in shipping charges as I spent to purchase the bed frame in the first place. All for just one part that was damaged on the assembly line.So if you like to gamble go ahead and buy this bed. If there is no problems you will get a nice bed frame but if there is a flaw or missing part you just lost your money, try again.

Great packaging, easy setup, amazing value for the price!
Color me impressed. ZINUS figured it out. This bed has been fantastic. From the initial unboxing to the setup, it was a great experience. I have never purchased a bed online before, but everything was very cleverly (and safely) packaged INSIDE the headboard. After you get it, you just unzip it and it’s all neatly packaged in there.The setup instructions were also incredibly clear and straightforward (and a little fun, too!). They also include a pretty solid ratchet hex tool which makes putting this thing together a breeze. The way it’s built allows for even a single person to do this project alone (which I did). Probably took about an hour to do the full setup, so not too bad at all.In terms of the quality, it really does feel quite luxurious for the price. The materials all feel pretty good quality, both in terms of the build quality as well as the fabric. We ended up getting an online hybrid mattress (specifically from Layla). The king size hybrid from Layla clocks in at nearly 150 lbs, and this bed has had no trouble with it whatsoever. It does shake, rattle, squeak, or anything.Fortunately beds are not something you have to buy too often, but if I had to get another one, I’d get this one in a heartbeat. For the look, quality, and price – look no further!

Great quality bed, would order again
Very happy with the quality of this bed. Ordered the blue, it is a deep earthy blue, looks accurate compared to their photos. The quality is surprisingly nice, I worried about this when ordering something I hadn’t seen in person. It arrived nicely packaged (though the box had some damage) and in good condition. It was easy to put together. This came with many wood support slats so the mattress can go directly onto this frame with no box spring needed. You could still use a box spring, but we wanted ours as low as possible since it’s for a 5 year old and so we skipped the box spring. The bed does not squeak when you move around. The headboard is solid and there is no horizontal gap where the headboard ends and the mattress begins, this is nice because if there was a gap, the pillows would slide back and fall behind the bed. Our mattress is a full and we ordered the full size frame. I’m guessing the full and queen frames are the same size, so if you have a full size mattress like we do, be aware that the frame is larger in length and width, so you have maybe 2” along all sides where the mattress doesn’t touch the edges of the frame. This gap is not ideal for little kids, but so far no one has gotten a foot or toy stuck in the side gaps. The back of the headboard is plain fabric and not the same blue fabric as the rest of the bed, this is worth noting in case you planned to position your bed where the back side of the headboard would show. I did not notice any odors when opening this bed. Overall very happy and I would absolutely buy this bed again.

I worked with furniture for over 15 years and assembled my share of beds so after buying this bed for such an amazing price let’s just say I was a bit skeptical to say the least. I have put together log beds with 10 inch lag bolts, beds with wooden rails and center supports and many Ikea type ready to assemble beds, although I am a big fan of Ikea beds they aren’t the sturdiest, I find that after a few years I have to reinforce the entire bed do to excess rocking and squeking.I set this bed up last night and I am blown away at the way they packaged everything inside the headboard nice and neat with clear instructions aswell as all the hardware with a super cool little racheting tool with the Allen key bit already to use and they top it off by sending a cute little thank you note along with 3 free thank you letters with a suggestion to send them to someone you are thankful for.This is by far the sturdiest bed I have ever put together, it has a total of 5 center legs along with the 4 legs is 9 total support points, Amazing!If you are on the fence don’t worry you won’t be disappointed.I slept on it last night fort the first time and cannot believe it made my mattress feel so much more supportive because there is so much support and the bed has no give. I am a pretty big dude and have a bad back so I tend to roll around as alot at night, wife said the bed did not move an inch when I rolled over.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – DO NOT BUY
I’m utterly disgusted by the abysmal quality and nonexistent customer service provided by Zinus in regards to their bed frame. What was promised as a sturdy and reliable piece of furniture has turned out to be nothing more than a flimsy, unreliable disaster waiting to happen.Three months ago, I made the mistake of purchasing their bed frame, lured in by their false promises of durability and backed by a supposed warranty. Little did I know, this warranty was nothing but a facade, a ploy to deceive unsuspecting customers like myself into believing that we’d be covered if anything went wrong. Spoiler alert: everything went wrong.Within a mere three months of regular use, the bed frame began to show signs of wear and tear. But this wasn’t just a case of a few scratches here and there—this was a catastrophic failure waiting to unfold.Naturally, I reached out to Zinus’s so-called customer service, hoping to rectify the situation. I provided them with ample photographic evidence of the bed frame’s sorry state (attached with this review), detailing how it had become a hazard to anyone foolish enough to sleep on it. What did I get in return? Nothing short of a slap in the face.Their response was not only dismissive but downright insulting. They had the audacity to claim that my photos weren’t “proof enough” that the whole bed frame had to be replaced and demanded a picture of the full bed frame, as if I were some sort of amateur detective presenting evidence in a court of law. By the time they made this ludicrous demand, I had already disposed of the bed frame out of fear for my safety. But did they care? Not in the slightest.Their lackadaisical attitude towards my concerns was nothing short of appalling. They refused to acknowledge the severity of the situation or take any responsibility for their shoddy craftsmanship. Instead, they washed their hands of the matter and left me high and dry, out of pocket and without a bed to sleep on.Zinus should be ashamed of themselves for peddling such subpar products and providing even worse customer service. Spare yourself the headache and steer clear of their bed frames—or any of their products, for that matter. Trust me, it’s not worth the hassle or the money.

One of the most easiest things to assemble
We purchased this bed for a guest bedroom. This bed is awesome. Typically whenever assembling products, most instructions, leave much to be desired, although we watched the video before the bed arrived, it was completely unnecessary as the bed is very intuitive to put together, and the instructions are extremely clear.The bed looks much more expensive than it is, and is very sturdy and very supportive for new memory foam mattress. Everything fit perfectly, this is not a cheap bed even though the price is not reflective of that.This bed is a very good value as it was a breeze to put together, we have been putting together furniture that we have purchased from Amazon and other sources recently, and the ease of which this thing goes together is just amazing. It’s really cool how they packaged all the parts you need into the headboard behind the zipper and although we have not done it yet, that could be a potential space for storage.Although I know it’s not good to use power tools on these assembly jobs. The little Allen key they give you normally makes the job so difficult that more often then I’d like to admit I bust out the impact, driver, and end up putting the items together that way. Usually it’s not a problem, but I have had some cheaper products were the screws are both have broken under the stress of a power tool.They had the brilliant idea to include a rachet with an Allen key, which curbed any desire to use power tools in assembling this product, even though they were in the room with me. All in all, it took less than 20 minutes to get this bed put together and it’s extremely comfortable with our new memory, foam, mattress, and sturdy.Would recommend and give extra stars, is it possible?.

LOVE IT!!
I bought this particular frame for several reasons, the platform height, I didn’t want a low sitting bed, the head board height, which is higher than most of the Zinus frames, wanted a frame where mattress set on top, not in frame, for ease in changing linens and of course the price was the best. It was perfect for all reasons I purchased. I read all the reviews and was afraid of getting misaligned screw holes or wrong parts, but it came perfectly. I did go to youtube and watch a video of a Zinus frame being put together, which helped me a lot. I could not find the exact frame, but the ones I watched were similar enough that it made putting this together a breeze with little referencing enclosed instructions, mainly used instructions for which screws go where. I am a 100 pound 60 year old woman, getting the box, as delivered, to my bedroom would have been impossible for me. I opened box at door, unzipped the back compartment and carried the pieces to the bedroom. Head board was a breeze to move once it was unloaded of parts. Right away I thought I had a problem with misaligned screws holes, the head board legs are marked 1 and 2, figuring it wouldn’t make a difference I grabbed a leg and holes were off. I looked at instructions and it said 1 on left side, 2 on right side…after switching them the holes lined up perfectly. I then had the same problem a few people mentioned about head board screws not going all the way in…this was easily solved by using the proper method of screwing things down, which is to not tighten them one at a time, but put them all in and screw each one down a few turns at a time, so they all go evenly. This made a huge difference and each screw went all the way in easily with this method. To put side rails on you have to removed one screw that is already in place and the rails will slip right on. Looking at the individual parts I was not to confident this would be a sturdy bed frame, after putting it together, I’m impressed and feel confident it will hold up, it feels rock solid. My only concern is the wood slats might not be the best, but those are easily replaceable. I do, however, really like the idea of holding them in place with velcro and if I replace, will add velcro to the new ones. I am more then pleased with this frame and the ease of setting it up. It was delivered to door at 5pm, by 7:30 pm I had removed old bed frame, set up new frame, put linens on and was laying in my new bed…and that was by myself…I’m a little old lady!!

Way too heavy for one box
The price and quality and bed platform receive 5 stars. It is worth it to buy it, and I would recommend it to a friend. But I would tell that friend to have a helping-hand or a team-of-hands standing by on the day of delivery. Unless you are a power lifter.One star is for the shipping process and assembly process. Some things were not labeled very well or labeled at all. I would still buy this again even though I strongly don’t like the shipping process. The assembly process was not bad, more annoying than anything.I understand shipping in one box may be cheaper or may ensure that the whole platform arrives at the correct address. But it is unwieldy in one box, too difficult to manage in one box for one person.This is a very nice looking bed platform that does not occupy the entire room. It is sleek and leaves a lot of space in a small room. I am glad I purchased it.That said, it is way too heavy for one box. My UPS driver was a strong guy, and he could not get it up ten steps. Luckily, I was home and was able to help him get it up the stairs.Unluckily, I hurt my lower-back helping lift the box up the stairs. Once inside my apt, it was so heavy I could barely slide it from the living room to the bedroom.I had to stand it up on the long/wide edge and slide it while balancing it.I would recommend packaging the headboard and the sideboards together. The wood slats and metal frame could be sent in a separate package. Both packages could be secured together with cuttable plastic straps. When the UPS driver gets it to the residence, the driver can cut the plastic straps and deliver each box to the customer’s door step, which would be manageable for one driver and for one customer. It would also be manageable if there were more people involved in the shipping and receiving process (a family could handle two boxes just as easily as one person could handle two boxes).

Nice and sturdy. You can’t go wrong.
The second part of my slats were uneven. I had to cut two of the slats from one end of the Velcro for it to be evenly distributed on the bottom back part of the frame going towards the headboard. Other than that it was perfect. The queens size bed is heavy with an extra H, heavy. The good thing is the bed can be put together in 30 minutes by a single person. No need for two people unless you want to finish faster. A second person is unnecessary.

Zinus meets Mr Skeptical and wins a new customer.
Man, what can I say except YAHOO!!!!!!!. This may sound like a made up story but, after just one week of usage. My lower back pain has all but been eliminated. First of all, let me start off by saying that I am a pretty big guy. While I am only 5′ 10″ tall, I push the scales at 285lbs. I am active in Judo, swimming and cycling so it is a healthy weight at 18% body fat. 18% is ideal for a 57 yr old man but carrying that much weight isn’t. My body style is due to my German heritage which has us carrying more weight due to my structure. As my lifestyle became more sedentary, I began to have an increase in body aches and pains. Soon I was beginning to have chronic lower back pain and I had long suspected part of this was due to the type of mattress I was using. Finally, about 2 yrs ago, I broke down and the wife and I bought one of those $2400 beds with each side able to move independently. It was a firm memory foam mattress and the wife was in heaven. At first, I thought I felt better but I never had a cessation of the back pain. This went on for 2 yrs and finally the wife suggested I look for another mattress. My daughter who is a nutritionist, suggested going with an extra firm hybrid. So, after exhaustive search and seeing the high scores this bed received, I decided to give it a chance. As most of you may be skeptical that you could find a great bed at this price compared to what the box stores charged. I mean, the higher the price, the better the bed, right? WRONG! This Sinus bed delivers. I bought it in conjunction with the frame you see in the picture. It arrived in a rectangular box and I was thinking “Doesn’t that hurt the springs being rolled up”? Apparently it doesn’t. I gave it 2 FULL DAYS TO EXPAND per the instructions and spent the first night a little unsure. But I awoke the next morning realizing two things. I don’t remember waking up and having to re-adjust my position, and I don’t remember anything from the time I went to sleep, til the time I woke up. And that’s amazing considering I use a CPAP. Now I will warn you that your body may feel a bit stiff for the first few days since the mattress is so firm. But once your body adjusts to that firmness, you are in heaven. So, if you’re on the fence, I hope this review has pushed you over to the better sleep side. Thanks for reading

Love this bed!
I was really nervous buying this bed because of the reviews about bugs. I was also afraid that, given the low price, the bed would be squeaky and/or unstable. But, it’s turned out to be such a great purchase.I love the navy blue color. The material doesn’t look cheap. I haven’t had any issues with squeaking or sturdiness. However, I am a fairly petite woman so I don’t know if that plays a part. There’s plenty of clearance under the bed for storing out of season clothes and shoes.My only complaint is that the two legs at the foot of the bed are plastic rather than wood. The Amazon description states that the “frame rests on solid wood legs.” I was a little disappointed by the inaccurate description but it hasn’t been an issue and the legs are not very visible due to the location of the bed in my room.

Beautiful blue bed frame with comfy headboard
I received this in the full size about a week ago. The FedEx guy actually helped me push it into the front of my apartment which was nice of him, as it was quite heavy; fortunately I never had to lift it. I pushed the large box into the bedroom, cut the cardboard carefully with a scissor blade, lay it on its side and slid out the headboard. Sure enough, on the back there was a sticker saying to unzip it, that everything is inside. After taking stock of what was included, I started assembling the bed. It took me just about an hour or so to assemble. The included Allen ratchet was excellent; I don’t think it explains, but you push the metal part in the middle to the right as you screw in the screw and then push that little metal part to the left to help release the ratchet from the screw. Once I figured this out, assembly was pretty straightforward; you just have to make sure you put in the parts labeled 1 and 2 on the correct sides of the headboard, plus notice that the side boards parts H and I are reversed on the left and right sides.As for how the bed looks, I think it is beautiful and looks like a more expensive bed. I lay my newly purchased 13″ heavenly Avocado Green with Pillowtop mattress (highest rated in “Consumer Reports”) on it to let it fully expand and in a short while was able to test out the bed. The bed frame was sturdy, even and didn’t squeak when I tried bouncing on the mattress. I can lay my head on the headrest while sitting on the bed, and it feels nice, soft and padded against my head. It just looks like a real grown-up bed with the matching blue soft material on the footboard of the bed as well on the left and right sides in addition to the comfy headboard. I’m very pleased thus far and hope, based on some of the other reviews, that this bed will last for years to come. The Avocado Green people actually recommended, among a few places, that I look at Zinus for a bed frame, and I’m so pleased I found this one.Also, there’s about 7 inches height of storage space underneath which gives me ample room for some long plastic 6 1/2 inch high Container Store storage on wheels which I had. Plus the headboard, now clear of all the bed parts it came with, can be a good storage spot for things you might want out of sight — just make sure it doesn’t interfere with the feel of the nice comfy padding material. So this is a very functional as well as beautiful piece of furniture, and I highly recommend it.

Easy, inexpensive, satisfying
I ordered it on Prime day, and it said it would be delivered in 1-3 months. I figured since it was such a good deal it would take extra time with all the Prime Day traffic. It was on my doorstep (of my upstairs apartment) in 9 days.It was such a good deal that I had accepted that there would be some caveats – maybe some of the pieces wouldn’t fit quite right or the color would be off. But it’s perfect. I’ve never put together something so intuitive and well planned. Everything shipped tucked into the headboard, so it was compact and efficient. It was double boxed and individual items were loosely bagged but able to breathe. They send a little ratchet allen wrench that I loved — the ratchet makes a huge difference. It’s not difficult to put together, they even put some of the screws on for you all you have to do is hook on the piece and tighten it. It was like putting together a lincoln log house, you can basically tell how everything goes together just by looking at it, and you don’t have to wonder which screw you need or go searching for pieces. And everything fits together perfectly! The slats have velcro and they’re measured to fit snugly in the frame. It was so satisfying, like an OCD person’s dream. Putting the whole thing together took maybe an hour by myself.The one thing I would note!!! The brackets that connect to the headboard are not interchangeable, as I thought at first. I put them on the wrong sides at first (left bracket on the right side, vice versa), and just assumed that the holes didn’t line up because of a manufacturing mistake. I just put as many screws as I could get in, and moved on. Then I got everything else together and the slats didn’t fit right. Had to take them off and switch the brackets and then it all fit perfectly. If you think there’s a manufacturing problem, it might just be user error. The directions were written to be simple and easy to read (easier than a lego instruction guide), and they left this detail out, but if I had looked at the pieces a little more closely rather than just giving up I should’ve gotten it.I love the simple design of this bed and the fact that I didn’t have to buy a boxspring. My mattress fits well and is nicely supported. Love the blue in my bedroom! And I love that I can sit up against the headboard and read a book in bed. This bed was everything I was looking for, plus convenience, for just a nice little price.

Very sturdy and really gorgeous looking for the price!
I read a lot of positive reviews about this bed, which was one of the reasons I purchased it. I’m glad I did. I’m absolutely shocked at the quality of this bed for the price. To clarify, one of the things I wanted to know before I bought it was the actual color. It is a true deep navy blue and it looks like linen. It’s gorgeous. It does not look like blue jean material, as a couple people described it. Assembly was a breeze and it was only by picture. Not many parts and I believe you could put it together if you didn’t have any instructions at all. Not a lot of pieces. The little bit of hardware there was, was nicely packaged. No tools required. The frame and assembly pieces are in the back of the head board, in a zippered pouch. Very cool idea! But what I was really pleased with, as I put the bed together was how sturdy everything was. Once the frame was put together I was really surprised to find that there were velcro strips on the rails and the slats are firmly stabilized once velcroed to the bed rails. The slats go from the headboard all the way to the footboard which is really great for a platform bed, especially since I bought a memory foam mattress, also by Zinus. I had a full bed with a Zinus mattress and bought one for my queen bed because they are incredible for the price, as well. I went with an 8-inch mattress for this bed so that a lot of the headboard can be seen. Even if I’d gone with a 10 inch mattress it still would leave a lot of headboard to look at which is nice. Anything thicker than that and a lot of the headboard would be lost. Once it was all put together, my next question was going to be how sturdy was the entire bed going to be? Would the headboard be moving back and forth or hitting the wall or moving around? Nope. Sturdy and solid. Same thing when I get in the bed, am laying in the bed or getting off the bed. It’s been a couple of weeks and no bad news to report. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend.

Beautiful bed
I love this bed. It is beautiful and I love the color. It was pretty easy to put together by myself. I admit I made a few mistakes that were my fault, but it didn’t slow me down too much. The bed is the perfect height and I slept on it last night and it was like a dream. I have a very comfortable hybrid mattress that was made even more comfortable by this bed. It slept like a dream. Very sturdy and no squeaking sounds or anything. I am very pleased with this bed. The blue color is almost like a deep aqua which is not what I thought it was, but I still love it anyway maybe even more.

I love this bed! I researched a LOT of queen size platform beds on several sites to redecorate my guest room in a mid-century modern style. I was looking at value, quality, size, free shipping and color. I originally wanted white but was not able to meet my criteria. This is a small room, only about 9.5ft wide, with only one wall a bed can be placed. I needed narrower width to have room for 2 nightstands and shorter to have room to walk around. It is only a difference of 2-4 inches but that made a big difference in this room. I chose this bed with the straight legs rather than more common MCM style slanted legs. I didn’t want my elderly parents tripping over the legs if they stuck out any. I kept coming back to this bed and I am so happy I purchased it.Pros:• Sooo easy to assemble- see pics. The instructions were easy to follow. One person could probably do it. 2 of us built it in about 45 minutes (stopping to take pictures).• Light weight- Opened box downstairs and carried pieces upstairs. Once constructed it is light enough to re-center. (w/o mattress)• Sturdy and slats fit snug with velcro.• Love the color of heather blue• Headboard was taller than most; allows plenty of room for taller mattress. (Pictured with OLD mattress)• Overall dimensions (LxW) smaller than a lot of beds which I needed in this very small room.Cons:• The tool provided didn’t work great; recommend allen wrenches and a ratchet.• The headboard legs are not upholstered to the floor which would have looked nicer. By the time I added bedding and nightstands this didn’t matter.• Pay attention to the measurements of your space if you would prefer a slightly more substantial bed.Tips:• Leave the screws slightly loose so you can adjust the fit of the pieces into each other and so you can fit the slats in at the end. If you tighten first the slats may not all fit between the side pieces. Loosening the screws made it easy to push the slats down into place. Then of course tighten them all.• No issues as in negative reviews- no bed bugs, no broken pieces, no torn zippers.Overall this bed was an excellent value, shipped in the timeframe indicated, easy to assemble and looks great. BTW the lamps and nightstands also were purchased through Amazon. Still working on the rug and design elements. I cannot wait to finish decorating this room.

Great deal for the price!
I’ve had this bed frame for about a year now and it’s held up really well. This bed frame wasn’t necessarily going to be permanent fixture for my bedroom but it works well enough that I see no reason to get a new one. It’s easy to assemble AND disassemble! I’ve moved once with this bed frame and I’ll probably still keep it when I move next as well.

Very nice quality
We looked for a long time at bed frames online. So glad we went with Zinus! Very easy to put together–they even give you a handy dandy hex ratchet tool which makes it super easy. A very thoughtful touch. Wish other companies did that. (We just bought several pieces of furniture from West Elm recently–nice solid wood furniture to build–and no tool provided other than basic allen wrench. Inspired by the Zinus tool, I bought a similar wrench but with multiple interchangeable heads to build the WE furniture. Believe me the ratchet feature makes it much faster.) Very nice quality–especially for the price. Sturdy and solid. Oh, we bought one bed and liked it so much, we bought another one for a different bedroom.

Couldn’t be happier
Wonderful frame! Totally thrilled with our choice. Great color, very sturdy, and well made. If your looking for a frame that works for a memory foam mattress this is the one for you!!! It has perfectly spaced slats for a memory foam mattresses, which is what I spent hour searching for. I needed no more than 3 inch spaces between slats and this one matched perfectly. I wanted to go with wood slats and so happy I did, the wood they used for the slats is good quality. This bed frame is completely silent and incredibly sturdy. My fiancé and I are on the 200+ side and we both feel like it’s well made and sturdy. Definitely recommend this frame. A breeze to put together and pro tip, the pieces all come zipped in the headboard, so once empty we put two of our thick winter blankets in the headboard and zipped it back up to save space while we aren’t using them. Adds weight to the headboard and clears some clutter *win win*

Great bedframe for the price!
It’s a great bedframe, for a great price! Came with all the tools needed to put it together, which was convenient! Took about 1.5 hours to put together by myself. Although a few of the screws didn’t fit properly in a couple of their spots, but I was able to make it work and it’s sturdy enough as is, no wobbling. The instructions were a bit confusing at first, but I was able to figure it out eventually! The box it came in was pretty heavy too, I had to have another person help me carry it inside. Overall happy with my purchase!
